Edison, Metuchen To Host Annual 24-Mile Mayoral Bike Tour In May

EDISON, NJ — Cycling enthusiasts, mark your calendars. The annual 2025 Mayor's 24-mile Bike Ride traversing Edison and Metuchen is scheduled for Sunday, May 18.
Mayor Sam Joshi, in partnership with the Edison Recreation Department, has announced this community cycling event that welcomes riders of all skill levels.
This annual ride offers residents an opportunity to explore the scenic routes connecting Edison and Metuchen while enjoying a day of physical activity and community engagement.

The tour will begin and end at the Edison Municipal Complex (100 Municipal Boulevard), with participant check-in starting at 8 a.m. Cyclists will depart at 9 a.m., with the event expected to conclude around 2 p.m.
Registration is now open at a cost of $10 per participant through the township's online portal. The first 150 registrants will receive complimentary official Bike Tour T-shirts to commemorate their participation.

Safety requirements include mandatory helmet use for all participants and adult supervision for children 10 years and younger. The event is limited to bicycles with 20-inch tires or larger.
