Edison, Metuchen To Host Annual Memorial Day Parades. See Details

Edison will host the annual parade on Saturday, and Metuchen on Monday. Here's all you need to know:

EDISON, NJ - Memorial Day is on Monday, May 26, and New Jersey towns are gearing up to honor those who fought for the country.

The Township of Edison and the Borough of Metuchen have announced respective annual Memorial Day parades this year as well. Here are the details:

Edison

The annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Saturday, May 24, at 12 p.m.

The parade route will run along Plainfield Avenue beginning at Division Street and ending with refreshments at American Legion Father and Son Post #435. This will be an opportunity for parade participants and attendees to come together and reflect on the sacrifices made by our service members.

The event is being hosted by Mayor Sam Joshi, Edison Recreation, and the Edison Township Council.

This year's parade will be a memorable event with various community groups and organizations participating.

"We are proud to host the annual Memorial Day Parade in Edison once again," Joshi said. "It is important for us to come together as a community to honor and remember our fallen heroes who have served our nation with bravery and selflessness."

Metuchen

The Borough will host the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. from the American Legion and will continue on the Plaza.

Following the parade, there will be a ceremony at the Memorial Park.
