Edison Police Adds 6 New Officers, Becoming Largest Force In 18 Years

Edison Police now has 199 officers on their team.

EDISON, NJ – The Edison Police Department recently added six new officers to its ranks.

The new hires were sworn in during a ceremony on Wednesday at the Edison Municipal Complex.

With the new hires, Edison Police now has 199 officers, its largest in 18 years.

“We are excited to welcome these six exceptional police officers to our team,” Mayor Sam Joshi said.

“Each of our officers plays a vital role in our community and have a shared dedication to serving our community. We are proud to support our law enforcement in their efforts to build safer neighborhoods for all of our residents.”

  • Darian Proano
  • Matthew Turner
