Edison Star Students Achieve Excellence, Innovation In Robotics Team
Five Edison students shine in their robotics team. Here's why they were shouted as star students:

EDISON, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Kirti and Rohit who nominated Meer, Ishan, Ishaan, Ved, Pranav, Arya of Edison-Metuchen. Kirti and Rohit are the coaches of the star students’ robotics team, MakEMinds.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Among the approximately 300 teams that competed in North Jersey, team MakEMinds won a Champion’s award. This award celebrates a team that embodies the FIRST ® LEGO® League Challenge experience, by fully embracing their core values while achieving excellence and innovation in Robot Performance, Robot Design and the Innovation Project.
This is a huge accomplishment as it qualifies them for a US Open Event. They have been invited to the Western Edge First Lego League Open event in California in May 2023 to represent New Jersey. Western Edge FIRST LEGO League Open is an invitational competition which includes 80 teams from around the world who have achieved significant recognition in their own region
