Gergits was driving the night of Feb. 16 when she crashed the car on Rt. 27 in Highland Park, killing Adamousky.

Her car struck a bridge abutment, bounced off and struck a car waiting at a red light driving late at night, Carey said. Adamousky was killed, and two male passengers in the car were injured. The driver of the other car, a 31-year-old from New York, was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.
