Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Metuchen Tuesday Night: Prosecutor

The crash closed the road for about four hours Tuesday night.

METUCHEN, NJ — A fatal motorcycle crash in Metuchen Tuesday night remains under investigation, a spokesperson for the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office confirmed Wednesday morning.

Andrea Boulton confirmed that the crash on Rt. 27 near Bridge Street was fatal, and involved a motorcycle. Both Metuchen police and the prosecutor's office are still "examining the circumstances," Boulton said. No additional information was released.

The crash happened during the evening rush hour home; Metuchen police sent out an alert warning residents that a "serious motor vehicle accident" closed the roads at 6:38 p.m. Around 8:30 p.m., police said that Rt. 27 remained closed between Amboy Ave and Bridge Street.
