FedEx Driver Held At Gunpoint, Robbed Of Truck Contents In Edison
Three men forced the driver to drive to another location at gunpoint before robbing the packages, authorities said.
EDISON, NJ — A FedEx driver was robbed of the truck’s contents at gunpoint in Edison on Thursday evening, officials said.
The driver, 35, of Elizabeth, was forced to drive to another location at gunpoint, before being robbed, Deputy Chief Robert Dudash of Edison Police Department said.
Around 8 p.m., the driver was swapping trailers on Greek Lane when he was approached by three men wearing medical masks, Dudash said.

The men forced the driver into the truck and asked him to drive to Ethel Road at gunpoint. Two men rode with the driver, while the other followed in an unknown vehicle, Dudash said.
At the Ethel Road location, the driver saw a white box truck parked. The men then forced the driver to remove two pallets of contents from his truck and load them into the white box truck, Dudash said.

The men then zip-tied the driver, stole his phone, and fled.
Ten minutes later, the driver freed himself and called the police using his Apple watch.
The three men were described as Hispanic and wearing dark clothing.
Authorities are currently assessing what and how much was stolen from the two pallets and are trying to locate the suspects.
