Founded His Own Nonprofit: Edison Star Student
Here's why this high school student from Edison shines among his peers:

EDISON, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Stephen who nominated Rishit of 10th Grade, a resident of Edison-Metuchen. Stephen is Rishit's mentor and said the student is a prominent member of the community.

He engages in a variety of groups in school in addition to his activity outside of it. He established a campaign to help people with autism get employment, which attracted more than 60 pupils, and he writes for the school newspaper.
