METUCHEN, NJ – If you, like many others, are a fan of a popular Italian restaurant in Metuchen and are wondering why it is closed, don’t worry. It’s only temporary.
Mangia Toscano located in the borough’s Main Street has temporarily closed for renovations, according to their website. The restaurant will be closed until Feb. 2.
"We are super excited, it’s going to be huge,” the restaurant’s management said in a Facebook post. “We can’t wait to share it with you.”

The restaurant is run by two Florence natives — chef and owner Alberto Buglione and manager and co-owner Ivan
