Italian Restaurant In Metuchen Closes Temporarily For Renovation

METUCHEN, NJ – If you, like many others, are a fan of a popular Italian restaurant in Metuchen and are wondering why it is closed, don’t worry. It’s only temporary.

Mangia Toscano located in the borough’s Main Street has temporarily closed for renovations, according to their website. The restaurant will be closed until Feb. 2.

"We are super excited, it’s going to be huge,” the restaurant’s management said in a Facebook post. “We can’t wait to share it with you.”

The restaurant is run by two Florence natives — chef and owner Alberto Buglione and manager and co-owner Ivan

Mangia Toscano offers a modern taken on farm-to-table Italian meals, with local wine and coffee sourced directly from Tuscany.

Metuchen’s dining scene has been evolving over the past few years with many exciting locally-owned restaurants that have foodies from across the state visiting the borough.
