Man Killed In Edison Warehouse Fall: Police

EDISON, NJ — A Perth Amboy man was killed on Monday when he fell off of a warehouse cargo lift in Raritan Center, Edison police said.

Jose R. Caba, 44, fell 35 feet from a cargo lift around 7:30 a.m. while working at the Macy's warehouse, police said. He was handling merchandise on tall storage shelves at the time of the fall.

Police say Caba was not tethered to the lift and lost his footing. He had worked for Macy's for 14 years.
