Metuchen To Celebrate Lunar New Year On Feb. 1
The event will be held in Downton Metuchen.
METUCHEN, NJ — The Borough will be celebrating Lunar New Year on Feb. 1, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., in Downtown Metuchen.
This year will be the year of the Snake, which symbolizes wisdom, transformation, and introspection. Years of the Snake include 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, 1965, 1953.
During the event in Metuchen, attendees can learn about the culture and history of the Lunar New Year with music and dancing.

They can enjoy a special artist exhibit by Julia Win in Peterson Park and celebrate the day throughout local businesses.
Wednesday, Jan, 29 signals the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The celebrations will last a fortnight.
