Metuchen’s Main St. To Be Closed Wednesday For Blue Mass. See When:

METUCHEN, NJ – On Wednesday, Metuchen’s Main Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to the annual Blue Mass.

The road will be closed between Durham Avenue and Maple Avenue.

There will be a 21-gun salute during the service.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

The Blue Mass is a Catholic tradition of honoring law enforcement, first responders and public safety workers. It also recognizes those who died in the line of duty.

The 22nd Annual Blue Mass for law enforcement will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi in Metuchen.

Bishop James F. Checchio will celebrate mass with local, county, state, and federal law enforcement officials.
