Metuchen Suspends Parking Fees, Asks Residents To Move Cars From Streets
Metuchen asked residents to use the driveways and local parking lots so DPW could plow the roads efficiently.
METUCHEN, NJ — With the winter storm bearing down on New Jersey and dumping snow on the borough, Metuchen Public Schools closed on Friday and travel was discouraged.
As snow blankets the borough, Metuchen has asked residents to remove vehicles from the road and has suspended parking fees for the parking lots.
"Please make use of your driveways and also consider using the town's many municipal lots. Parking fees are suspended for the time being in the lots," Metuchen said in a message to the community. "By clearing the roads, DPW will be able to plow our roads far more efficiently."
