Metuchen Will Oppose Warehouse Proposed Near Dog Park
The application will now be heard by the Edison Planning Board on Nov. 18.
EDISON, NJ – A hearing for two proposed warehouses on the border of Edison and Metuchen has been postponed, with Metuchen saying it would formally oppose the proposal.
Edison’s Planning Board was expected to hear the application on Oct. 15, but it had to be scheduled to a later date due to a conflict of interest - the board attorney’s firm also represents Metuchen.
On the day of the Planning Board meeting, Metuchen’s attorney informed the Board’s attorney that the Borough would be entering a formal opposition to the plan, after which the Board's attorney decided to recuse himself.
