Retired Edison Firefighter Raymond Tibok Dies At 58
Tibok was a lifelong resident of Edison and served as firefighter for 30 years.

EDISON, NJ — Edison Fire Department is mourning the death of retired firefighter Raymond Tibok.
Tibok passed away on Aug. 8, at JFK Medical Center, in Edison, Edison Firefighters Association said. He was 58.
Born in Perth Amboy, Tibok was a lifelong resident of Edison. He was an Edison firefighter for 30 years before retiring in 2022.

Tibok graduated from J. P. Stevens High School in 1984.
"He loved fishing, working on cars, and playing southern rock with his guitar. He was a great mentor, a true craftsman, a great father, and a loving husband," Edison Firefighters Association said.

Tibok is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rosemarie Tibok; son, Ryan Joseph, his daughter-in-law, Ashley, and granddaughter, Madelyn Rose; his son, Jonathan Raymond and his daughter-in-law Jess, and his son, Evan James and his daughter-in-law, Bri and his dogs, Cooper and Toby.
Instead of flowers, the Tibok family and the fire department are asking wellwishers to donate to Tunnel to Towers - a tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who died on September 11, 2001, those who continue to lose their lives to 9/11-related illnesses, and the service members who lost their lives in the Global War on Terror.
