EDISON, NJ — Edison police are searching for a trio of teens they say vandalized seven school buses and an American flag at a township middle school.

The vandalism happened on two separate nights at Herbert Hoover Middle School, police said. The teens first targeted the school buses, setting off fire extinguishers inside three of them and spray painting the outsides of four during the overnight hours.

Tuesday night, the teens returned, spray painting the American flag with black and white paint, police said.

The group appear to be teens between 15 and 18-years-old, police say. They face criminal mischief charges.
