Winter Weather Advisory Issued In Edison Until Friday
The hazardous weather could impact Friday morning commute, forecasters and police said.
EDISON, NJ — The Township on Thursday morning issued a winter weather advisory and asked residents to be cautious while on the road.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the township and all of Middlesex County. The watch is in effect between 7 p.m. Thursday, until 10 a.m. Friday.
Mixed precipitation and total snow and sleet accumulation of up to an inch is expected, according to the National Weather Service.

Police have advised residents to slow down and use extra caution when traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by dialing 5 1 1.
Central Jersey and the Jersey Shore should see less than an inch of snow, forecasters say, with a wintry mix of sleet and light snow becoming rain by Friday morning. Up to two-tenths of an inch of ice accumulation is expected in much of central New Jersey as well.

Thursday Night: Rain, snow, and sleet likely before 1 a.m., then sleet between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Freezing rain after 4 a.m. Low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New ice accumulation of less than 0.1 of an inch is possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Friday: Rain or freezing rain before noon, then a chance of rain between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. High near 42. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New ice accumulation of less than 0.1 of an inch is possible.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
