You May Hear Booms In Edison. The Police Department's Bomb Unit Is Training

There is no risk to the safety of the public as a result of this training, police said.

WEDNESDAY, NJ - On Wednesday, residents of Edison may hear booms in the township. But it's nothing to worry about.

From 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., a Police Bomb Technician Unit will be conducting training in a remote and secure location in the area of Mill Road, the police department said.

As a result of the training, practice detonations will be occurring, which may be heard in the area.
