The 33-year-old man was arrested Thursday after his alleged victim told her sister of the abuse.

A Bergen County man was arrested Thursday after authorities say he allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with an 11-year-old female acquaintance.
Melkis Antigua-Cruz, 33, of Hasbrouck Heights, was arrested after his victim told her sister about the alleged abuse, who then told their aunt, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department were notified and arrangements were made for the victim to be interviewed at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus. There, the victim ”provided specific details regarding what had occurred” with Antigua-Cruz, which resulted in his arrest, Molinelli said.
