Englewood PD Create Safe Exchange Zone For Internet Deals

The Englewood PD has created a safe place outside its headquarters for township residents to conduct transactions.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — The Englewood Police Department has created a safe place for people to conduct transactions with people they started online.

This Safe Exchange Zone is in the municipal parking lot, across from Police Headquarters, and in the front lobby of the headquarters, police said.

Those who want to use the lobby need to notify the desk officer on duty.

The zone is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., police said.

Police prohibit all illegal transactions, including those involving weapons, drugs, or drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
