Healthy Eating Cook-Off To Display Bergen Clergy's Culinary Skills

Bergen County clergy will prepare healthy meals in a contest in late-August that will be presented by The Community Chest and Alstede Farms.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — As part of a collaborative effort among several local agencies to promote healthy eating, Bergen County clergy will be given farm-fresh ingredients to prepare savory meals that will impress the judges of a cook-off on Aug. 25.

Free and open to the public, the event, presented by social services organization The Community Chest and produce market Alstede Farms, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Paul's Church in Englewood, a news release said.

Gearing up for the cook-off are Englewood clergy Rev. Preston Thompson from Ebenezer Baptist Church and Rev. William Allport of St. Paul's Church, and Tenafly Rabbi Jordan Millstein of Temple Sinai of Bergen County.
