Registration Open for Englewood Junior Police Academy

Free camp will include trips and lessons on careers in law enforcement.

The Englewood Police Department will offer a free program giving local young people a look at law enforcement work. 

The city's Junior Police Academy is set to run from June 26 to July 2. The camp is open to children ages 12 to 15 and registration must be in by May 24. 

The curriculum will include lessons on the effects of substance abuse, self-defense, field trips, team building and on careers in policing and the military.

Each successful Academy graduate will receive a certificate of completion on the last day of class.
