"Hard Hatted Woman" follows the lives of six women in construction who know what it's like to be the only woman on the job.

YWCA Bergen County and Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County will co-host “Hard Hatted Woman,” a documentary film screening and discussion of women in construction trades, on Friday, March 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the YWCA Bergen County in Ridgewood.

Attendees can enjoy a free screening of “Hard Hatted Woman,” which follows the lives of six women in construction who know what it’s like to be the only woman on the job.

“Lorien Barlow, director, producer and cinematographer, will address the gender stereotypes entrenched not only in the world of carpenters and crane operators but also in our own collective beliefs about women’s aptitudes and abilities,” stated a press release.
