Bergen Co. Reaches $525K Settlement Over Counterfeit Parts Claim
A Fair Lawn company allegedly defrauded the government by providing counterfeit parts for a weapons system, according to authorities.
FAIR LAWN, NJ – A $525,000 settlement was reached to resolve allegations that a Fair Lawn-based business defrauded the federal government by providing counterfeit parts for a weapons system used by the U.S. Air Force, according to authorities.
On Monday, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced the agreement between UST-Aldetec Holding Company LLC, which owns United States Technologies, Inc. in Bergen County, the United States Department of Justice and the United States Air Force.
U.S. Technologies allegedly made false claims about technological equipment it sold to the government and provided a total of 52 non-conforming circuit card assemblies for a weapons system on four separate government contracts between 2013 and 2017, Carpenito said.

The restitution payment is due within 30 days, according to authorities.
