Election, Self-Storage Hearing, UNICO Fundraiser This Week
Here's a look at the week ahead in Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook.
The Saddle Brook Zoning Board is scheduled to continue hearing an application for a proposed self-storage facility on Midland Avenue during their meeting Monday. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the town hall on Market Street. The full agenda is available here.
The Fair Lawn Planning Board meets in the municipal building Monday with a work session at 7 and a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.
The general election will be held Tuesday. Fair Lawn has council and school board seats up for election. Saddle Brook has school board seats up for election. Voters will also be choosing a governor, District 38 Assembly members and senator, three Bergen County freeholders and a sheriff.
The Fair Lawn Library will host its weekly Scrabble game from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Saddle Brook UNICO will hold a tricky tray fundraiser from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Thursday at The Venetian in Garfield.
The Fair Lawn Ambulance Corps will offer a basic first aid event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Temple Beth Sholom will host a veterans recognition program with guest speaker Colonel Glenn H. Goldman at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The event costs $5 and is free for veterans.
The Fair Lawn Library will host an opening reception for its new 12-artist show at the Pine Gallery at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
