Fair Lawn PD Welcomes Two New Officers

FAIR LAWN, NJ - Fair Lawn police recently welcomed its two newest officers to the department.
Brandon Loaiza and Nicholas Held, both Fair Lawn natives, were sworn in by Mayor Kurt Peluso this past week, according to a press release issued by the department.
After graduating from Fair Lawn High School, Loaiza went on to serve six years with the Army National Guard and was hired in 2018 by the Kean University police department.

Loaiza, 24, will now be assigned to field training in the patrol division. His hiring brings the department’s full-time police roster to 60 officers.
Held, 20, is the department’s newest Class 1 Special Police Officer and also a Fair Lawn High School graduate.

Since 2015, he has been a member of the Fair Lawn Police Explorer program and is also a volunteer firefighter in the borough.
He is going into his junior year at Ramapo College and will be attending the Class 1 Special Police course at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Center in September. His hiring brings the special roster to 10 officers.
