Inside Fair Lawn's Wayne Robbins stopped by the library's summer reading kick-off carnival Friday.
The event included face painting, balloon animals, magic and games, among other activities.
Robbins spoke with Librarian Elizabeth Fineberg, who spoke about the Teen Advisory Board, a group of young volunteers at the library who "try to make it a better place" and helped organize the event.
The goal is to help children "see the library as a community space, a place where you can have fun, meet friends," Fineberg told Robbins.
