NJ Transit Passenger Hurt After Sitting In Acid: Report

A 69-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Sunday after sitting in acid on board a NJ Transit bus, according to a report.

LODI, NJ – A 69-year-old New York woman was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being exposed to sulfuric acid on board a New Jersey Transit bus, according to a report.

After the New York woman boarded the No. 164 bus in Lodi and grabbed a seat, she felt a burning sensation on her leg, NJ.com reported.

Following treatment at the hospital, the woman was released, the report said.

No other injuries are reported and NJ Transit is continuing to investigate how the liquid wound up on the bus, the report said.
