Saddle Brook Restarting Mayor's Youth Group

A Saddle Brook resident is restarting the old Mayor's Youth Group and the first meeting is Wednesday.

Mayor Karen Chamberlain previously organized the group during her first term, but the organization has since become defunct, according to Thomas Van Winkle, who is restarting it with the township's blessing.

The group will participate in a variety of township events like a window contest for businesses, the township picnic and events at the high school. The group will meet year-round, Van Winkle said.

The group is open to students entering grades four through 12 in September. They will hold their first meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday in town hall.
