P.O. John Rovetto initiated a motor vehicle stop on 17th Street at Columbia Street
and arrested a passenger, an 18-year-old Paterson man, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia.

P.O. John Rovetto initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Blue Hill Avenue and arrested the operator, a 33-year-old Brooklyn man and passenger, a 33-year-old Belleville man, after marijuana & prescription pills were discovered inside the vehicle. Both were released after being charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia.

P.O. Tiller Uriarte initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 at Paramus Road and arrested a passenger, a 22-year-old man from Paterson, after an arrest warrant was located from the Pennsylvania State Police. He was sent to Bergen County Jail to await extradiction.

P.O. Michael Van Ness & P.O. Robert Iozzia responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested a 35-year-old Hawthorne man, after she was detained by store loss prevention with unpaid items in a backpack totaling $80.46. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.

Det. Anthony Lugo & Det. Brian Rypkema approached two suspicious people standing on the corner of Broadway at 27th Street and arrested a 33-year-old Brick man after finding hypodermic needles hidden in his clothing and locating arrest warrants out of Bergen County (no bail), Paramus ($1000), Woodbridge ($750), Fort Lee ($500) & Montvale ($500). Heroin was later found hidden in his clothes as well. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of hypodermic needles, then sent to Bergen County Jail.

P.O. Ian Manelis & P.O. Miguel Cruz responded to CVS Pharmacy, 29-00 Broadway, on a report of a suspicious male inside the store and arrested a 38-year-old man from Paterson, after an arrest warrant was located out of Paterson for $1000. He was handed over to Paterson Police.

P.O. Juan Rodriguez responded to Broadway at 17th Street on a report of a dispute and initiated a motor vehicle stop on 17th Street as a vehicle involved was leaving the area. An 18-year-old Hackensack man and two 16-year-old males from Fair Lawn and Elmwood Park were arrested after marijuana, vape cartridges containing THC oil, THC gummies & alcoholic beverages were discovered inside the vehicle. A total of $4503 in cash was also found and confiscated for seizure. The 18-year-old was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), distribution of CDS, distribution of CDS within 1000 feet of a school, employing juveniles in drug distribution & possession of drug paraphernalia. The juveniles were released to parents and will be charged on juvenile petitions to family court.

P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Summit Avenue and arrested the operator, 29-year-old man from Midland Park, after he exited the vehicle against the officer׳s orders and took a fighting stance against officers before he was placed under arrest after a short struggle. He was released to a family member after being charged with resisting arrest, speeding, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain a single lane, obstructed windshield, unclear license plates, unlicensed driver, failure to exhibit a license, registration card & insurance card, possession of opened alcoholic beverage inside a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated & refusal to submit to breath samples.
