'Tommy' Starts at the Community Center Friday

The Old Library Theatre is presenting the musical based on The Who's classic rock opera.

The Old Library Theatre's production of "Tommy," the musical based on The Who's 1969 classic rock opera, starts at the Fair Lawn Community Center Friday.

The theater company will perform the show at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday this week and next week. Tickets are available here.

"Tommy" tells the story of an abused boy who goes on to become idolized for his pinball skills and features an "exhilarating score [which] is timeless in its youthful appeal," according to the Old Library Theatre.

"Tommy" is directed by Bill Otten and features musical direction by Charles V. Santoro, choreography by Julia Knitel and stage managing by Cathy Cochrane. Peg Peet is the executive producer.
