"Hello! I am Rosanna Diaz, sister of Vanessa Diaz," she wrote in Spanish, "and today it is very sad for me to see my only sister leave my father and mother. Who, in search of a better future for herself and her daughter, immigrated to the United States in search of their dreams without knowing that in that same place of dreams and opportunities their light would go out in an unfortunate accident."

She wrote, "Today, in the midst of great sadness, her relatives in the Dominican Republic want to say goodbye to her, after five long years without setting foot on Dominican soil, her friends and family long to see her for the last time."
