'World's Strongest Girl' Sets Another World Record

Fair Lawn children Naomi and Ari Kutin set world and national powerlifting records Sunday.

Powerlifting Fair Lawn resident Naomi Kutin, called "the world's strongest girl" and "Supergirl," recently set the world record for the 97-pound woman's raw squat by lifting 225 pounds.

Naomi, 11, beat her own previous record of 214.9 pounds while lifting in Bordentown Sunday.

Despite the new world record, Naomi was "disappointed" she didn't lift even more, her father wrote on her Facebook fan page. Naomi had been expecting to life 235 pounds, but the "mood changed radically" when she won the women's best lifter award, he wrote.

"It was an amazing day for our very strong kiddos," their mom, Neshama Kutin, wrote in an email to Patch.
