Hunterdon Art Museum Offering Free Workshop Series for Teens 14-18

"Creating Space for Young Adults in Art" designed to educate, challenge, and inspire young minds through art.

The Hunterdon Art Museum is excited to announce a series of three free workshops, "Creating Space for Young Adults in Art," designed to educate, challenge, and inspire creative teens aged 14 to 18. The workshops will take place on Saturday, May 20th, Saturday, June 17th, and Saturday, July 15th.

Led by experienced Art Educator Julie Swenson, students will engage in community-building exercises, hands-on art-making, and thought-provoking discussions centered on art and its connection to contemporary issues. The workshops aim to explore current issues, foster connections among peers, and highlight the role of art in shaping conversations and perspectives.

Throughout the series, teens will have the opportunity to explore and discuss relevant topics currently impacting our nation. Each workshop will include gallery discussions highlighting the work of contemporary artists on view at the museum and the chance to engage with exhibiting artists, allowing your teen to connect with art in new and meaningful ways.
