Five Things About Fort Lee’s Extended School Day Program
A quick look at some reminders from the Fort Lee School District

Fort Lee’s Extended School Day Program (ESDP) begins the very first day of school, next Tuesday, Sept. 6. Below are five reminders from the school administration regarding the program:
Number one
The registration form and September payment must be submitted by the first day of school if you wish to enroll your child in the program. The school district will not accept single-day payments.

After the first payment on Sept. 6, parents are required to make their monthly payment for the program during the week prior to their child’s attendance for a given month. Click here for the ESDP billing schedule for the 2011-2012 school year. Late payments will result in your child not being allowed to attend the program until payments are received. No partial payments will be accepted.
Number three
Parents must pick up their children by 6 p.m. each day. Supervisors oversee the program from 3 to 6 p.m., and the district doesn’t want them to have to stay beyond that. A late fee of $1 is charged for every minute you are late ... so be on time.
Number four
Payments should be made to your child’s program supervisor, who will only accept checks, money orders and certified checks payable to “Fort Lee Board of Education.” Checks should include your child’s full name and school in the memo section.
If parents are receiving assistance from the county and their child is absent 20 percent or more of the time in a given month, they are accountable for the difference of payment received from the Department of Human Services.
Number five
Students enrolled in the ESDP are required to follow all the rules outlined in the Fort Lee Public Schools Student Code of Conduct Booklet.
More information about the ESDP can be found on the Fort Lee Public Schools’ website.
