Five Things This Week: Celebs, Elected Officials and Student Arts in Fort Lee
Here is a look at five things you should know about and/or might not want to miss this week
Number one:
Theyβll be rolling out the red carpet at the in Fort Lee Monday, when Teresa Giudice of Bravoβs Real Housewives of New Jersey fame joins other βcelebrity guestsβ and VIPs for a Season 3 Premiere Party and βFabulicious!β cookbook launch.
Organizers say the evening will also include βcelebrity surprises,β fashion shows and βstar performances.β

Doors open at 7 p.m. VIP meet and greet is from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. VIP tickets are going for $75 and include one hour open bar and hors dβoeuvres, picture and autograph with Giudice and admission to the main event.
According to organizers, the βreal partyβ starts at 8:30 p.m., after which general admission is $25. The premiere of season 3 of the show will be screened on six flat screen TVs from 9 to 10 p.m., and the party lasts until 3 a.m., organizers say.

A portion of the proceeds is being donated for breast cancer awareness.

Number two:
State Assemblywoman Joan Voss (D-38) of Fort Lee will be the guest speaker at Tuesdayβs United Homeowners of Fort Lee meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the at 319 Main St.
The homeowners association asks that anyone who wishes to donate non-perishable food items to the food bank to bring their donations to the meeting.
Refreshments will be served.
Meanwhile, just across Main St. at the VFW hall at the corner of Center Ave., Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino will be a guest at the United Republican Club of Fort Lee's meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Number three:Β
On Thursday from 2 to 3:30 p.m., U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman (D-9), who represents Fort Lee in Congress, will hold one of four βlistening sessionsβ scheduled this week at the Fort Lee Recreation Center located at 8th St. and Stillwell Ave.
βI encourage my constituents to attend one or more of the four Listening Sessions I'll be holding this month,β Rothman was quoted as saying in a blog post from his office on Patch. βThey should feel free to attend any of the Sessions at their convenience β they do not have to live in the town to come to the session scheduled there.β

This weekβs Fort Lee municipal government meetings include a Planning Board meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hallβs council chambers and a Mayor and Council executive session on Thursday at 7 p.m. in executive conference room 201.

Number Five:
And donβt miss Fridayβs Circle of the Arts Festival at Fort Lee High School. The festival, which takes place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday evening at the high school, is highlighted by student artwork; musical ensembles, dancers and actors; choral exhibitions and industrial arts and home economics projects on display for one night only. The event will showcase the work of over 1,400 students from all six Fort Lee schools with events taking place simultaneously in the high school's auditorium, east gymnasium and cafeteria.
Described as a βtrue celebration of the arts and an opportunity for everyone in Fort Lee to enjoy and experience firsthand the creativity and expression of our incredibly talented young peopleβ by Fort Lee Superintendent of Schools Raymond Bandlow, the festival is free and open to all Fort Lee residents. Oh yes, and βsnacks will be sold as well,β according to the school district.
