Five Things: School Board, Council, Film, Music & Arts
Here is a look at five things you should know about and/or might not want to miss this week
Now that Memorial Day has passed, the borough gets back to business as usual Tuesday. Here's what to look for:
Number One:Β
The Fort Lee Board of Education will hold a special public work session Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the School No. 1 library.

According to school officials, it is a special meeting for goal setting for the 2011-2012 school year, and a representative from the NJSBA will be on hand to guide the board.
The agenda includes a public comments segment on the few items listed on the agenda as well as any other topics of concern.

Number Two:
The next meet for the Fort Lee track team takes place Tuesday at the Bergen County Meet of Champions in Hackensack starting at 3:30 p.m.
The co-ed track team is the only Fort Lee sports team still in action, after the baseball, softball, tennis and golf teams recently wrapped up their respective seasons.
Check back with Patch all week for season recaps of each team.
Number Three:
The Fort Lee Mayor and Council will meet in exectutive session Thursday at 7 p.m. in Borough Hall's conference room 201. The governing body's last executive session on May 19 was cancelled due to the lack of an agenda.
The executive sessions normally begin in open session, but an immediate motion to go to closed session is usually the first order of business with meetings re-opening to the public at about 8 p.m.
Check the borough's website for updates or for an agenda for the meeting starting Wednesday afternoon.
Number Four:Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
The Fort Lee Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs and Fort Lee V.F.W. Post 2342-sponsored βCliffhanger Spring 2011 Film Festivalβ concludes Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Fort Lee Community Center.
Itβs the final installment of the screening of HBOβs βThe Pacific,β honoring Sgt. John Basilone and the brave men who fought in the Pacific during World War II. Each installment at the community center features the screening of two episodes of the award-winning series.
The Fort Lee Film Commission and the Fort Lee V.F.W. announced last week that actor Jon Seda, who stars in the miniseries, will appear at the final screening Saturday at the Fort Lee Community Center.
Note: Patch will have further details of Sedaβs appearance in a subsequent article so check back.
