Number two

Fort Lee’s 9/11 Memorial Dedication Ceremony:

This event marks the 10-year anniversary of the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001 if you can believe it’s been that long. The borough will be unveiling its first 9/11 memorial—built with steel donated by the Port Authority.

The monument is “in remembrance of the tragedy and in recognition of the valiant efforts of Fort Lee’s own emergency service agencies,” according borough officials.

When/Where: Sept. 11, 10 a.m. (rain or shine), Constitution Park off Linwood Ave.

Number three

Borough of Fort Lee Paper Shredding Event:

The event is for Fort Lee residents only, and you must have proof of residency. There is also a limit of four shopping bags per household.

When/Where: Wednesday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fort Lee Recreation Center, Stillwell Ave.

Number four

The Fort Lee Health Department's 17th annual Health Fair:

When/Where: Saturday, Oct. 15, Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center, 1355 Inwood Terrace.

Number five

Your last chance to enjoy music and a movie “under the stars:”

The summer-long program at the community center will wrap up on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. with a performance by the local artists formerly know as The Pedal Pushers—now the Elas Band—and a screening of the critically acclaimed, Academy Award-winning film, The King's Speech.

To be fair, Sept. 10 would be your very last chance. You actually have two chances before that because of re-scheduling:

Saturday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. - Jobananno & The Godsons of Soul and the movie, Mary Poppins

Wednesday (yes, Wednesday), Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. - Mahoney Brothers Jukebox Heroes Show and film, Iron Man
