Fleeing Vandalism Suspect Drops Loaded Gun In Fort Lee: Police
A man suspected of vandalizing a payment machine at a Port Authority Bus Terminal led authorities in a pursuit, police said.

FORT LEE, NJ — A fleeing vandalism suspect in Fort Lee ditched a small backpack with a loaded gun last week, Port Authority Police Department spokesperson Lenis Valens said.
20-year-old Justice Velez, who was suspected of vandalizing a payment machine inside of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, led authorities in a pursuit, Valens said.
Velez, of Bronx, New York, dropped the bag as he was running away from police down the upper roadway; he later admitted to owning the bag, which contained a silver, loaded .38 caliber handgun.

He was arrested without incident or injury, and charged with criminal possession, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
