Fort Lee Rock The River Race Is Sept. 22
Runners can enjoy the beauty of the Palisades while helping to protect and preserve the Palisades Interstate Park.
FORT LEE, NJ — The eighth annual Rock the River Race is Sunday, Sept. 22.
The event begins at Ross Dock on Henry Hudson Drive in the Palisades Interstate Park.
The race is actually three different events: A half-marathon, a 5-kilometer race, and a 6-kilometer trail run.

The half-marathon registration is $85. The trail run costs $45 and the 5-kilometer race costs $40.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Palisades Parks Conservancy and the Palisades Interstate Park system. The conservancy donated $35,000 in 2018 to help purchase heavy equipment that has been used to repair and maintain miles of trails in the New Jersey section of the park.

The first race begins at 6:30 a.m. The event is slated to end at 2 p.m.
