Hash Oil Seized, Man Arrested In Bergen County Bust: Prosecutor
An Edgewater man was caught with hashish oil and marijuana in a search of his home, and was arrested on drug charges, the prosecutor said.
EDGEWATER, NJ — An Edgewater man was caught with over five pounds of marijuana and hashish oil, a potent cannabis extract listed as a controlled substance, and subsequently arrested on two drug distribution charges, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
William Arevalo, 33, was charged with first-degree possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely hashish oils, and second-degree possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, Musella said.
Police executed a search warrant on his home Tuesday and found that Arevalo was in possession of the drugs. He was arrested without incident and remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance, the prosecutor's office said.
