Linwood Plaza Happenings, Historical Society’s Guest Speaker
About Town reviews the latest goings on at Linwood Plaza and reminds readers about Tuesday's Historical Society meeting.

About Town would like to thank everyone who sent us emails about Fort Lee’s new French Restaurant Khloe Bistrot. It seems that Khloe’s is a big hit with many of you and a new destination spot in town. We drove past Khloe’s with envy on Friday evening wishing we were sitting with the group at the communal table, drinking wine and laughing. Each table’s lit candelabra added an elegant mystique to the already elegant restaurant. C’est la vie.
What’s Happening at Linwood Plaza
About Town always seems to be running to Linwood Plaza for one thing or another, but we rarely write about it. So here’s what’s going on there this week. We noticed that the CVS is undergoing a renovation. Just when you thought you could find Maybelline Mascara blindfolded, they’ve changed all the aisles around. The former shampoo aisle is now entirely refrigerated, so unless our Garnier now needs to be kept frozen, we guess food will be moving into aisle two.

Dusty Rose is having a 50% off sale this week that’s worth checking out. They have a selection of sportswear that you just won’t find anywhere else. They’re also getting in some beautiful choices for spring so if you’re looking for a casually elegant outfit for Passover or Easter, avoid the malls and come to Dusty Rose.
For those of you who have avid gamers in your life, GameStop is having a sale on games—buy two, get one free. Also, they have a large assortment of used games, so if your little gamer (or big one) wanted Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 for Wii when it came out a few months ago, but you didn’t want to spend $50, you can now get it used for $20.

While exploring the stores, we stopped in for a slice of pizza at Linwood Pizza. We forgot how gargantuan their slices are. We ordered two slices and it was the size of a small pizza. They do have the crispiest crust in town.
We also noticed that a new clothing store opened called Outro. They carry clothes that About Town would term “urban-hip.” We learned from one of the sales people that it opened in early March. It’s got a great window display so go and check it out.
And of course, while you’re at Linwood Plaza you have to stop by Marty’s Shoes! Marty’s is getting its spring line in, so if you’re looking to start your strappy, show-off-those toes collection, start here.
If you’ve never been to Linwood Wines & Liquors you’ve been missing out. They have an extensive selection of wines from every region at every price. They also have great prices on their liquor. What we really love is their website because it allows you to search for a wine by country, region, type, price, color, vintage, and size. You can also search their prices on liquors and see what’s on sale, and all from the comfort of your own home. Give it a try!
