Parking Permits Now Available, Meet the BOE Candidates and Municipal Government Meetings This Week
Here is a look at five things you should know about and might not want to miss this week:

Number one:
The Fort Lee Parking Authority has announced that the 2011-2014 residential parking permits are now available.
To pick up and pay for your permitβdonβt forget there is now a five-dollar fee for the four-year permitβyou to have to drop by the Parking Authority office at 309 Main St. (middle building). Applicants should bring their driverβs license and vehicle registration with their Fort Lee address on them. If the vehicle is leased, you also need to have a utility, telephone or cable bill.

The next Fort Lee Planning Board meeting is Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hallβs council chambers. The agenda for that meeting is available on the main page of the boroughβs website.
Number three:
The Fort Lee Homeowners Association will hold a "Board of Education Candidates Night" on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the the Fort Lee Middle School cafeteria. The following night (Wednesday) a candidatesβ forum will be hosted by the Fort Lee School No. 3 PTA during their meeting at 7 p.m. That event was rescheduled from last month.
Number four:Β
The District 6 Coaches Certification Course is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 106 Bergen Avenue, Ridgefield Park, NJ. If you are new or your three-year certification has expired you must go. There is a Nominal charge. This is especially important for All-Star coaches and NEW coaches and NEW dug-out Momβs.
Number five:Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
The next meeting of the Fort Lee Mayor and Council will be their executive session on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Borough Hallβs executive conference room #201. Although the meeting technically starts at 7, the governing body will likely go immediately into closed session and reopen to the public 30 to 60 minutes later. Look for that agenda on the boroughβs website by Wednesday afternoon.
