What Questions Do You (Still) Want to Ask Board of Education Candidates?
The school board election is April 27βa Wednesday this year.

As you may have heard, six candidates will be vying for three seats on the Fort Lee Board of Education next week.
They are, in the order in which they will appear on the ballot:
- Helen Yoon
- Michele Ramirez-Stux (Incumbent)
- Tracy Mattei
- Paul Umrichin
- Joe Surace (Incumbent)
- Peter Suh (Incumbent)
After a slew of public forums, debates and town hall meetings over the past couple of weeks, including a Candidates Night hosted by the Fort Lee Homeowners Association, and last weekβs United Republican Club of Fort Lee-sponsored forum, perhaps you know everything you need to know to make an informed decision on election day.

The six candidates have presented their platforms, discussed their backgrounds and qualifications and answered questions ranging from their positions on the two failed referendums last year, to overcrowding in Fort Lee schools, aging infrastructure, curriculum and budget issues.
