Free Rabies Clinic Set In Freehold

Freehold will have its only free rabies clinic of the year on Jan. 27.

FREEHOLD, NJ — The Freehold Borough Board of Health will offer a free rabies clinic on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. And this is the only clinic to be held in Freehold in 2024, the borough says.

The clinic will take place at the Freehold Fire House, 49 W. Main St.

"Pet health is community health and keeps us all safe. Be sure to keep your pet vaccinated and licensed," the borough advises residents.

Animals must be three months old or older for the vaccination. All dogs must be on a leash; cats in a carrier. The Monmouth County Health Department is providing the vaccines, the borough says, so all Monmouth County residents are eligible to take part in the program.

Borough Hall will also be open to get your one or three-year pet license once your pet is vaccinated.
