"We appreciate and thank all the artists who participated and created such exquisite pieces of art. The youngest artist was 13 years old. Thank you to all the sponsors that participated we could not do this without their support," the borough said.
Each artist received a hard-coated horse sculpture. The undecorated sculptures are produced by a local company, StoneDog Studios, 17 Bannard St. #12 in Freehold. Artists then had about four weeks to complete their design.
This is the second year of the Art Walk and, if funding continues, you can expect another edition next summer.
It all adds some summer fun to a borough at the heart of Monmouth County history and its long association with the horse and horse racing.
The project was funded by a grant from New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) and many local sponsorships, said Dominica R. Napolitano, Freehold Land Use and NPP Coordinator
