Here are some new attractions at this year's festival, as described by the company:
- Oviraptor Express that’s also a way for visitors to become immersed in the light art experience, while traveling through the park for an additional cost per ride.
- Dinosaur Speedway ride, where families and friends can experience the thrill of racing around a prehistoric track for an additional $5 per ride.
- Prehistorical Animal Light Arts, an exhibit showcasing ancient creatures brought to life through intricately designed light sculptures that are illuminated and crafted to provide a glimpse into a forgotten era, blending art, history and imagination.
- Dino Paradise Bounce Castle, a 260-foot Bounce Castle for kids and kids-at-heart for an additional $18 (no play time restricted).
In October, Dino Safari Freehold will also blend the prehistoric with the more modern celebrations of Halloween.
Seasonal Halloween decor will include a large-scale light art display, in which the dinosaurs take on a ghostly glow, all set amid elements that evoke the spirit of Halloween, the company says.
The event is all part of the LuminoCity Festival brand, "an immersive event that combines art installations and light sculptures." The company and festival were founded in 2019, by Xiaoyi Chen.
Festivals have included: LuminoCity, Holiday Lights, NYC Winter Lantern and Dino Safari, with more to come. For more information, visit https://www.luminocityfestival.com/.
"We are thrilled to be able to continue to bring the extraordinary Dino Safari experience to the tri-state of New York City,” says Chen.
She said Dino Safari originally launched in Atlantic City and was recently in Rockaway.
