Freehold Regional HS District Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates

MONMOUTH COUNTY — Summer is almost over for students in Monmouth County. The first day of school in the Freehold Regional High School District Thursday, Sept. 5 .

If you are new to the area, the Freehold Regional High School District encompasses six high schools: Colts Neck, Freehold Boro, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan and Marlboro. Information on registering your ninth- through 12th-grader is available on the district's website.

There are three emergency closing days built into the calendar. If emergency closings exceed the three days, additional closings will be made up by subtracting days from spring break in reverse order, starting with Monday, April 21.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Freshman orientation: Wednesday, Sept. 4
• Start date: Thursday, Sept. 5
• Back-to-School Night: Early dismissal, Thursday, Sept. 19
• Professional development day: Early dismissal for students, Thursday, Sept. 26
• Rosh Hashanah, schools closed: Thursday, Oct. 3-Friday, Oct. 4
• Columbus Day, schools closed: Monday, Oct. 14
• Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5
• NJEA Convention, schools closed: Thursday, Nov. 7-Friday, Nov. 8
• Veterans Day, schools closed: Monday, Nov. 11
• Parent-teacher conferences: Thursday, Nov. 14
• Early dismissal: Friday, Nov. 15
• Thanksgiving break: Early dismissal, Wednesday, Nov. 27; schools closed Thursday, Nov. 28-Friday, Nov. 29
