Halloween Festivals, Circuses, And More: Fall At Freehold Raceway Mall

FREEHOLD, NJ — Fall has officially arrived and Freehold Raceway Mall has plenty of events lined up to welcome the new season.

From carnivals to art festivals to Halloween fun, here are the events lined up for Freehold Raceway Mall this autumn season:

Spirit Halloween
Spirit Halloween is officially open in the mall's west wing near Zara in the shopping center.

Whether you’re planning a family group costume, hosting a Halloween party, or just looking to expand your collection of animatronics and decor, Spirit Halloween is a one-stop shop for women’s, men’s, kids’ and pets’ costumes, as well as Halloween decorations.

Spirit Halloween is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Skelly’s Festival
Skelly’s Festival will take place in the Dick’s Sporting Goods parking lot through Sept. 29.

Attendees can enjoy family-friendly rides, games, and carnival treats at the festival. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $28 as well as 4-day weekend passes for $38.

Halloween House
Explore the magic of Halloween at Halloween House from Sept. 27 through Nov. 3.

Located on the mall’s lower level near Primark, this immersive experience is fit for Halloween enthusiasts of all ages.

The attraction hosts rooms – each with their own Halloween theme – that attendees can visit, such as the Spiderweb Light Tunnel, the Beetlejuice Illusion Room, and more.

The focus of Halloween House is to create “a magical Halloween experience without the typical scares and gore,” making the attraction suitable for all ages.

This year, Halloween House will also offer free admission for Laura Donovan students, who were relocated to other schools in the district after mold was discovered in their classrooms.

Halloween House Freehold is open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Do Portugal Circus
From Oct. 4 through Oct. 13, the 5th-generation, family-run Do Portugal Circus will set up in the parking lot of Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Whether you’re looking for a family outing, date night, or fun with friends, the circus entertains all ages and features aerialists, jugglers, clowns, and more.

Doors open 45 minutes before the first show of the day and tickets are priced per person.

Monmouth Arts Folklife Showcase
On Oct. 19 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Monmouth Arts Folklife Showcase will come to the lower level of the mall between Zara and JCPenney.

The showcase is a celebration of community art, culture, and heritage, and features local artists showcasing their talents and interactive activities.

Halloween Festival
On Oct. 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Halloween Festival will come to the mall’s Outdoor Village by the Cheesecake Factory and L.L. Bean.

Attendees can enjoy trick-or-treating, Halloween-themed activities, and more at the event. Guests are welcome to attend the festival in costume as well.
