Hobby Lobby Opens New Store In Monmouth County

FREEHOLD, NJ — Hobby Lobby has opened a new store in Freehold, marking its 19th New Jersey location.

On Friday, Oct. 10, the 55,000 square-foot store officially opened at 3684 U.S. 9 North in Freehold. Ronald Lenczewski was named as store manager.

According to a report from the Asbury Park Press, the store opening is part of a revamp for the Freehold Mall (not to be confused with Freehold Raceway Mall) after the shopping center was bought by Aspen Real Estate Partners, with joint venture partner Devli Real Estate, at an auction around 2020.

In 2024, the report said Hobby Lobby signed a lease for its new store at the Freehold Mall.

"I saw a tremendous potential," Alex Reizner, managing partner at Aspen Real Estate, told the Asbury Park Press. "Freehold itself is a magnificent town. The demographics are super strong."

With over 1,000 stores across the country, each Hobby Lobby offers more than 80,000 crafting and home decor products, including floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, kitchen, bath, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking, party, and paper crafting supplies.

The new Freehold store joins 18 others throughout New Jersey, including:

Hours at the Freehold store are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, officials said. Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
